This weekend we visited our dear friends new place on St Simons Island along the coast of Georgia and brought them a house-warming gift of a picture I painted of the sea. The creativity inspired me to write a poem. Hope you enjoy!
Today I painted the Sea, With colors of blue, aqua, and grays, Lush waves swelling and crashing, Beach sand spread-out as far as the eye could see
Today I painted the Sea, Creatures below schooling around, Boat sails blowing in her wind, Gliding above touring the vast landscape.
Today I painted the Sea, With the sun beaming down, Glistening, dancing, reflecting along her breast, Today I painted the Sea, In actuality it painted me.
The picture above was taken on a trip to the US Virgin Islands and few years ago. If you have the opportunity to visit I recommend a sailing day trip so you can island hop, they even ofter BVI day trips to explore the open waters but passport is required.
Here is the painting that inspired the poem.

Cheers
Beautiful!!! Both the painting and poem are an artistic accomplishment.
